Best BBW Dating Apps For Plus Size Singles — DatingXP.co

Are you looking for the best (Big Beautiful Women) BBW dating apps for dating plus size singles?

With so many dating apps and dating sites aimed at the general population, it can be really hard to find the type of sexy person you’re looking for.

Big and Beautiful Women and big handsome men are definitely out there, but the last thing you want to do is spend all day searching through profiles of smaller women or men who just aren’t suitable.

The good news is that there are plus size dating apps that are exclusively focused on bbw dating. And it’s exactly what you need in your dating life right now.

In this article, I’m going to take a look at the best plus size dating apps. I’ll be taking a look at how they work, how much they cost, and I’ll also be sharing with you my personal experiences using the apps.

Best BBW Dating Apps For Curvy Singles

1. WooPlus

With over 200,000 active users each week, WooPlus is the OG of the BBW dating site world. Its zero-tolerance approach to fat shaming/body shaming has helped to seal its popularity, and while the ratio of male/female is 2:1, there’s still enough curvy women on here to go around.

The signup process is a breeze and takes a matter of minutes because Woo. Plus only needs your most basic information right away. Searching for other users is free but you can’t message someone until a) you match with them and b) you upgrade your account. If you upgrade your account, you can send messages to people who aren’t even a match, too.

I was slightly put off by the male to female 2:1 ratio before I signed up. But I soon learned that the number is completely irrelevant. As long as you upload your best pics and be your charming, most flirtatious self, you’ll do okay.

I landed two dates within my first week on WooPlus app. I typically started by sending gifts to other members (although sometimes I “poked” them), and I found that this was a better way to grab people’s attention than a direct message.

That said, I made sure to add lots of details to my profile (the profiles on WooPlus tend to be very detailed) and I made changes and improvements as I went along. A lot of my success hinged on my witty answers to the personality questions. The funnier you are on this app, the more success you’ll have. Read WooPlus review.

Pros

  • Specific for (Big Beautiful Women)
  • Lots of active users
  • No fake profiles

Cons

  • Male to female ratio is quite high

2. eHarmony

eHarmony

eHarmony is a premium dating app aimed specifically at singles who are seeking long-term commitment, and possibly even marriage. If you’re looking for love, this could be the app for you. Creating an account takes a good 10 minutes, and you need to fill out a compatibility quiz and a personality test, as well as add some pictures.

Once your profile is ready, you can send winks to other users, but you need to upgrade to send messages. If you’re not a fan of writing opening messages, the app lets you ask a series of automated questions to a potential match. If you both like each other’s answers, you can then reveal your whole profile.

eHarmony is a great dating app for long term relationships, but it’s not aimed specifically at BBWs. There are BBWs here, but you’ll need the patience to find them.

Pros

  • Established, reputable dating site
  • Used by serious members who are genuinely looking for a relationship
  • The vigorous sign-up process ensures you’ll be matched with someone compatible

Cons

3. LargeFriends

LargeFriends

LargeFriends is another BBW dating app aimed specifically at plus-size singles. It’s ideal for both casual and long term relationships. With around 15,000 active weekly users, LargeFriends isn’t the biggest BBW dating site around. However, it comes with a blog that is a great way to meet curvy singles, and everyone who uses the site is open, friendly, and non-judgemental.

The sign-up process takes 5 minutes max, and you need to fill in who you are, what you’re looking for, your age, your location, and a few other basic details. You’ll also need to write yourself a catchy headline and fill in a brief description of yourself, and what you’re looking for.

Then, you can either search for members one-by-one via a feature called Spark, or you can glance at multiple members at the same time. To send messages, you need to upgrade to a premium account. You can also add people to a list of favorites, and – if you’re not sure what to write – you can shoot them a wink.

You can upload as many as 26 pics, and I made sure to upload numerous that showed me from different angles. I also posted a few blogs and made several contacts that way. Overall, I found LargeFriends to be a very body-positive dating app that can be used to land dates and make new friends.

Pros

  • Lots of great features
  • Aimed specifically at BBW/curvy women
  • Can add as many as 26 photos

Cons

  • Need to subscribe to send messages

4. BBWCupid

BBWCupid

BBW is a popular BBW dating app that claims to have 40,000 active weekly users. It’s especially popular in the U.S., Canada, Australia, and the UK, and can be used for long-term dating or friendship.

The signup process (which includes a mandatory personality test) takes around 3 minutes and is fairly hassle-free. Once your profile is up and running, the app automatically puts a few matches in front of you. There’s also a free search tool to find other users, and you can send instant messages as soon as you’ve upgraded your account.

Success came easy for me on BBWCupid because it specifically pairs up BBW or BHM with their admirers (like me!). The key to success on this app is to be polite and respectful at all times because this is not a hookup app. It’s simple, clean, and easy to get to grips with.

Pros

  • Aimed specifically at BBW(Big Beautiful Women and curvy women)
  • Can do lots of things on the app for free
  • Landing a match is easy

Cons

  • Could do with a video call function

5. Match

match.com

The match is a premium dating app used by millions of people around the world who are looking for romance, love – and even marriage. It’s also the second-largest dating app in the world.

Signing up to Match is free and doesn’t take more than a few minutes. You can also search for other users for free, but to see who’s messaged you (and to message someone back) you need to subscribe.

The match is so confident that it will help you find the plus-size woman or man of your dreams that it even offers you 6 months’ worth free if your first 6 months yield no success.

Once my profile was up and running, I was deluged by visitors and winks. In a nutshell, Match is a very busy dating app that people take seriously. However, it’s for people of all shapes and sizes, so if you’re looking for a BBW, it might take you a bit of time. After one month of using it, I was able to land two dates with a BBW (Big Beautiful Women).

Pros

  • Second biggest dating app in the world
  • Lots of genuine users who are looking for long term relationships
  • Don’t need to match in order to start messaging someone

Cons

6. OkCupid

OkCupid

OkCupid is an LBGTQ+ friendly dating app that’s full of open-minded, non-judgmental people. While it isn’t aimed specifically at bbw singles, the fact that its millions of users are so tolerant means you shouldn’t find it too hard to find what you’re looking for.

Sign up takes a few minutes and you’ll need to answer a few personality questions. However, unlike most dating sites these days, OkCupid is free to send messages.

There is a catch, though. The other person can’t see your message until they’ve matched with you, and you can’t see someone’s profile once you’ve sent your introductory message until they’ve matched with you.

Because OkCupid isn’t aimed specifically at BBWs, it can be a little tricky to find what you’re looking for. However, I found that there are lots of plus-sized singles on here, and it’s simply a matter of having a bit of patience, filling out a detailed profile, and sending interesting (and funny and flirty!) messages. Success will then come, as it did for me.

  • LGBTQ- friendly

7. Plenty of Fish

Plenty of Fish

Plenty of Fish (POF) is another general dating app aimed at people of all shapes and sizes. It’s free to send messages, boasts almost a million daily logins, and is used by people who are looking for casual dating or something longer term.

POF makes you answer a very lengthy personality test before your profile is ready, and you will need to add a headline to your profile (to help it stand out in the search results) as well as some lines in your bio. Searching for other users is free, as is sending and receiving messages. To see who’s “liked” you, you’ll need to upgrade.

It’s also not difficult to find BBWs here. For every page of search results, I’d say there was always at least one BBW (Big Beautiful Women) in my experience.

Pros

  • Completely free
  • Great search function
  • 4 million daily logins

Cons

  • Could be hard to find a BBW

8. Tinder

Tinder

Tinder was the world’s first “swipe” app that’s still used by millions of people today. It’s ideal for casual sex encounters, friendship, and long-term dating.

Creating an account and sending messages is completely free. You can add anything you like in your profile, or leave it totally bare. However, there’s no search function – instead, you’re given an endless queue of potential matches who you have to swipe right or left on. If you match with someone, only then can you send them a message.

While Tinder isn’t aimed specifically at BBWs, there are lots of plus-sized singles who use the app. If you’re seeking a (Big Beautiful Women) BBW, you should do what I did and state this in your profile.

Overall, I landed 5 dates in 2 weeks with Tinder.

Pros

  • Free
  • Millions of active users
  • Swipe function means it won’t be long before you come across a BBW

Cons

  • May need to upgrade to Tinder Gold to achieve success
